Suicide of Teens

Many teens who have attempted or tried death by suicide may have a mental health condition. As a result, they have trouble coping with the stress of being a teenager, such as dealing with rejection of relationships, failure to impress, breakups, and family turmoil. They might also be unable to see that they can turn their lives around; and that suicide is a smart and conclusive response, not a solution.” Most deaths occur within the ages of 10 – 24 years old ”

Another outlook to this is antidepressants, they are generally safe, but the Food and Drug Administration requires that all the antidepressants have bold black box warnings, the most strict warnings for all the prescriptions. The warnings call attention to the fact that the youngest of children, teenagers and adults under 25 might have an increase in suicidal thoughts and/or behavior when taking antidepressants, especially in the first few weeks after starting or when the dose has changed.

My opinion on suicide is that it shouldn’t have to go down like that; you should get help and not have to o through the struggles of having that hard of a life. That is why you need to contact help as soon as possible. If you cannot get help get someone you know and trust to help you get through it together.
